Our Story

Larimore Farms is a small family farm in Flora, Indiana. We're a family living and working on the property, raising a free-range chicken flock alongside our two golden retrievers, Bear and Callie, while our kids take part in the everyday work of the farm.

Bear has become more than a farm dog. He spends his days watching over the property from the front porch, and he's turning into the farm's unofficial protector - with Callie right beside him. Between the two of them, our flock, and the kids running around with egg baskets, there's rarely a quiet moment.

Before the farm, I spent years doing charitable construction work through my church and served as a volunteer firefighter - service has always been part of who I am. This farm is really an extension of that: happy, healthy chickens raised the right way, with the eggs going to families who need them instead of sitting on a shelf. The goal is to build something that can eventually free up more of my time for that kind of service again, and to build something I can hand down to my kids so they can keep doing the same thing.
